"Dominators" is a group formed by the students of S5 CSE in Vidya Academy of Science and Technology for a four day mPower program conducted in our college.The group comprises of 8 members. In this program we are to compete against 5 other teams for becoming the champions of the mPower program. The other teams are Valiants,Sky high,Checkmate,Silent Assassins and Dream team.

QUALITIES OF A GOOD STUDENT
Today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders of a country and the qualities of the student clearly determine the students’ bright future and carrier path. So, who is a good student? What are the qualities of a good student? Historically, the term ‘student’ referred anyone who learns something. However, the recent definition of a “student” is anyone who attends school, college, or university.
Again, what are the good qualities of a student? Based on my personal experience and research, I list down the qualities of a good student.
(1) Attitude: Basically, a good student possesses the ability and willingness to learn new subjects even the subjects are not interesting.
(2) Academic skills: Acquiring academic skills is the most important quality of a good student. Ability to read comprehensively, to write effectively, to speak fluently, and to communicate clearly are the key areas in which a good student must be proficient. Having a good handle in all these areas will make a student to shine in a class.
(3) Ability: A good student has the ability to apply the results of his or her learning in to a creative way and achieve the goals.
(4) Perceptiveness: How well a student can interpret and perceive meanings from a conversation greatly determines the quality of a good. A good student always perceives right meaning from conversations, but an average student often misunderstands the original thoughts of a speaker or writer and derives a wrong conclusion.
(5) Self-Discipline: Discipline in managing the time is an important factor that every good student must possess. Often times, delaying the tasks, such as writing assignments, reading text books, etc, may negatively impact the ability of a student to achieve the goals.
(6) Understanding rather than memorizing concepts: A lot of surveys suggest students must understand the concepts rather than just memorizing them. The memorized facts and theories will stay in students’ memory until they leave school, college, or university. Once out of school, the students will totally forget the core concepts that they learned. Therefore, it is essential a good student understand the concepts.

Important qualities of good son or daughter in my view point which derived from my culture are obedience,
loyalty, and respect and never have changed.
The most important characteristic of a child that makes happy parents is obedience. Almost all of parents expect their childes to obey their say and be obedient. Sometimes, children think the parents say are illogical and evade from accepting them, but parents persist on that and maybe childes or parents get annoyed. Although, parents do not imply matters directly and do not say the reasons of decisions, their main goal is the happiness of their childes. For example five years ago when I was an adolescence, I was an easy going boy and I became friend with everyone. On that time my father denied me from having friendship with certain youth, however I was an obedient and obeyed my father’s idea but that seemed illogical to me and I felt he compelled me, so that I got anger. By passing time I realized my father’s idea was true and the Best commence he could gave was that decision. Thus, I am positive that, one of the most important characters of a child is obedience, although, sometimes obeying parent’s speech seems illogical but certainly is the best choice for children.
Second quality of good child is loyalty. No doubt, no one likes lying; specially parents dislike their childes lying and expect them to be faithful with them. Unfortunately, most of teenagers use to lie and it bothers parents. Parents will be glad if their child be loyal and say the truth even if, it annoys them. As an instance, last year my brother had an accident, and destroyed the car. He hid this event from our father and repaired the car and forced to lie to father that he lent car to our cousin. After a while my father became aware of accident and got angry, but not due to accident, he was anger because my brother did not be faithful with him. After that I realized parents are sensitive about the loyalty of their childes and expect them to be faithful.
Last but not least is respect. Everyone needs to respect, specially childes and parents need to respect each other. Parents spent their youth to growing their childes, by passing time they become older. When parents become old, it is childes function to serve them and respect them both for usual needs and emotional needs. For example, four years ago, when I was in university I had a friend. On that time his father was addict, my friend could abandon his father like most of people but he respect to he and spoke with him and helped his father to abandon his addiction. Therefore, I believe childes should respect their parents even in the worst condition.

Express gratitude. It’s easy to take your parents for granted. After all, there was a time when they did absolutely everything for you, from bathing you to keeping you fed and well-rested. As you grow older, it can feel natural for you to forget the fact that it takes your parents time and effort to take care of you, and you have to remember to thank them for all that they do. Whether you verbally say “thank you” every time your parents do something kind for you, write them thank you cards or letters, call them, or do them favors in return, it’s important to let your parents know how much you appreciate them.
